Assessment Aims

This assessment aims to evaluate and verify a mariner’s ability to safely and effectively maneuver and control a vessel under various operational conditions.

Assessment Objectives

1. Assess the participant’s practical ship handling skills in different maneuvering scenarios.
2. Evaluate the ability to control the vessel in confined waters, port operations, and emergency situations.
3. Verify competency in decision-making, situational awareness, and the effective use of bridge equipment.
4. Ensure the officer can apply appropriate ship handling techniques in accordance with maritime operational standards.

Participant should be:

1. Certified Seafarer
