Course Aims
To prepare technical personnel to maintain, troubleshoot, and support DP systems to ensure safe and reliable vessel operations.
Course Objectives
On completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Explain the architecture and redundancy concept of DP systems.
- Carry out fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of DP power, control, and thruster systems.
- Understand FMEA, redundancy, and worst case failure design.
- Perform planned maintenance and testing of DP systems.
- Provide technical support to DPOs during alarms, failures, and incidents.
