Assessment Aims
This assessment aims to evaluate and verify the competence of technical personnel responsible for the maintenance and reliability of Dynamic Positioning (DP) systems onboard DP vessels.
Assessment Objectives
- Evaluate participants’ knowledge and technical skills in DP system maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Assess the ability to maintain the reliability and operational integrity of DP equipment and supporting systems.
- Verify understanding of DP system components, redundancy concepts, alarms, and fault diagnosis.
- Ensure competency meets the requirements of the Nautical Institute (NI) DP Vessel Maintainer Certification framework.

Participant should be:
- ETO or Marine Engineer
- Holding a valid NI DPVM Certificate
